I don't know about anybody else here, but i am SO EXCITED about this lineup!!! POM, not so much. but Skillet and Shinedown are (PLEASE forgive me for the reference) the best of both worlds: Skillet is the best in Christian Rock and Shinedown is the best in secular Rock!! and seeing them tour together is just AMAZING!!!! if they come anywhere near the Memphis area, i am SO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheesy

ur thoughts on this tour?

As much as I would like to see Skillet agian, I will likely not see this tour even if they come close. My parents especially would not be impressed with 2 secular bands, plus I myself am not interested in that aspect.

Shinedown is not the best secular band imo Tongue The Classic Crime, Three Days Grace, All That Remains, and Killswitch Engage, are way better. Not real excited about the tour personally, but its good for the band.

This should have gone in the Live Subforum...

Eh... I was a little disappointed with this lineup. I mean, Puddle of Mudd and Shinedown are okay, but there are plenty of other better bands out there that they could tour with.

plus, I saw something that said it was just East Coast, which rules out at least 2 of us already-uninterested people...

True, I do remember that now...

So.... Since I have nothing better to discuss about this tour, any thought about what their set will be? I imagine they will have a much shorter set as the opening act. My only thoughts so far is that It's Not Me will definitely stay, Awake and Alive most likely stay, hopefully Savior will stay. Lucy will definitely not be played since they have been cutting it out of their full sets lately.

I hope they pull in another harder song from Awake, but that might be too much to hope for...

Personally, I think it's questionable that Hero will stay, but not certain. Same with My Obsession. If I remember right, they already dropped it in a few shows this spring.

yeah.  I would guess the following songs would all stay:
INMIY
Awake and Alive
Monster
Whispers
The Last Night

Possible:
Sometimes
Savior
Rebirthing
Hero

What about Comatose? You really think that's a definite drop?

Probably.  Yeah, it won a Dove.  But AAA is so similar, and more recent and popular.  And better, imo...the strings sound better live and it has a guitar solo.

Good point... I do like Comatose, but it is very similar in sound to AAA with the strings and all... Of course, I still have not seen any live videos of AAA....  Embarrassed

Yeah, it'd be impossible to go to a Skillet show without Savior, Rebirthing, The Last Night, WitD, Hero or Monster. Everything else is somewhat dispensable.

my hope is since they're touring with 2 secular bands, they may add a few of the ballads in there. Don't Wake Me, Believe, I'd LOVE to See Don't Wake Me live!
