I did notice that! And I also really want a version of that (along with the acoustic version of Hero, which I can't download because it's not on youtube yet).

There's an acoustic version of Hero? Shocked

And I so didn't notice that acoustic playing! Ah I want that version of Savior so bad!

ETA: I think I just replayed that part of the podcast, like, 5 times just to hear that acoustic of Savior. It's really good.

There are a couple of live acoustic performances of Savior on youtube. I think I've heard (what sounded like) an acoustic studio version before (on the radio?) but I've never been able to find it online.

This is pretty awesome:

I have two or three acoustic versions of Savior on my computer. Tongue One of them is that soundcheck performance, another is a version they did on the radio much more recently.

Are any of them the one that is in the podcast?

It definitely sounds like a studio version. I wonder if they plan on releasing it at some point cause I don't see why they would go through the effort of making a studio version and not sharing it.

There's quite a bit of talking over it, but I can try to pull it into audacity and see what I come up with

Yeah, just as much as possible Smiley

EDIT: Just realized that track is playing from 0:07 to 0:32 as well.

^ Thats as good as I could get it... I ran a center-pan removal and a low-pass filter over it. Gives you a good idea of what the actual track would sound like. Hopefully they'll put it on EP so we don't have to speculate any longer Tongue

EDIT: That one's from the middle. I completely overlooked that its at the beginning too... let me try that and see if it works out any better

SECOND EDIT: The clip from the beginning is softer and actually edited out worse. I'm sure if I had better (more expensive) software, I could do a much better job, but you get the idea  Smiley

That's about as good as what I came up with in audacity, but my movie maker froze Embarrassed. You can clearly hear the lone piano work in the verse, before it goes into the normal pre-chorus.

Thanks for doing that! Ya I really love the piano/violin part leading into the pre-chorus and I love how John changes his tone when he says "there's nothing left to lose". Sounds so amazing! I hope they release it! We should bug them lol.
