Skelfy, this is my first time to Ocean City. I'll need directions to where the tent is at coming from Baltimore I guess since I have to drop my dad off at my aunts on the way down. Plus, is this a festival or is it just Skillet?
I have my iron Skillet ready to travel.

Ah, it's one of those encounter things....I went to one of those last weekend in TN. It's a very different Skillet concert experience, let me tell you. Here's a description from last week: here.

Durring practice on the 4th, I got to hear the full stage version of My Obsession. For those of you who may not have heard this song, it r0x0rz my s0x0rz!!! Since Lori joined with Skillet, her drumming has improved 10 fold. On the new album, she has some of the most tricky ---- I've ever heard a drummer pull off. And she did a little showing off with it in My Obsession... They were actually suppose to be playing My Obsession for the first time that night, but they had 2 screw ups durring practice so John pulled the song from the lineup for the night till they can get it right. The concert was great, The Flock kicked things off. Kind of strange putting a rap group along with Skillet but it actually worked out really well. There was a very mixed crowd there because of it so it ended up being very interesting. After that, Skillet came back out and played 3 worship songs including one of my fav Hillsongs, This is how we Overcome. After that, the preacher came out and did his thing along with an alter call. Then Skillet came back on with their regular set. It was an awesome fun packed night... John even taught me how to fold clothes properly. :- Got to meet Skelfy for a moment... her father kinda looked at me weird so I just kept moving... maybe it was the black lipstick and the cross on my face... who knows. I also got to hand out with (I think) Iron Warrior. I know him as Tater on AIM. We all got all roudy durring the show. It was a great night. CJ

Another funny thing that happened...
Before the show started, John and Ben were walking back from getting supper up at the mall and I was laying in the back of the Explorer listening to my Rare Cuts cd. The song Always The Same came on just as John and Ben got to my car and they walked over and John just kinda looked funny and goes "you know, I don't even remember making this song. I really don't remember one word of it." We sat there listening to the whole song. Korey walked by just as this small synth solo started and John goes "Now THAT I remember... you did a really good job, babe" and she just rolled her eyes and kept walking. Ben and I just cracked it at his poor attempt to kiss butt.
