I don't know if it'll happen or not.  We'll wait and see.  I am going to start saving for tickets now, because if the TobyMac tour falls through, I'll have the money ready for Sonshine.  Win/Win situation.

Haha, it'll be known soon enough...probably sometime in December, tour dates will start leaking out...should be awesome...just don't forget I told ya Wink
If it does happen, I will certainly not remember the person who had no credibility, I will remember that members of Skillet mentioned it first. If you were really serious and wanted us to believe you, you would be explaining why you have such certainty and authority that no one else has.

I read an article earlier today (I'll try to find the link) that said the tour will be co-headlined by Skillet and tobymac. How do you co-headline a tour? Who would play last? I would assume tobymac... but then isn't tobymac the headliner?

How awesome would it be if Skillet and tobymac did a Savior/Jesus Freak remix? That would be EPIC!!!

they will usually have the same set lengths and alternate who plays last

What sucks about it? You'd prefer seeing them be the 3rd band on a secular tour? Toby puts on a great show.

^actually yes, 1) they all play in the same genre, 2) it will expand the fan base. Anyone that knows TobyMac knows Skillet, and has already decided what they think about them.

Plus, i cannot stand HN or TM.

I think it sounds cool.  I'm not a huge fan of TobyMac (don't like hip-hop generally) but my brother really loves his stuff, so we'll probably go together if it's in the area.  And he does have a fairly decent live show, and I like some of his stuff.
Overall--Skillet could do a lot better (RED, Fireflight), but they could do a lot worse too.

*nods* I like the idea of the Shinedown/Puddle of Mudd tour. Although I am not into secular music, that is a huge opportunity for them.

I am really looking forward to the TobyMac tour also. I am a TobyMac fan, and I love their show, so it will be a great one. As far as expanding their audience though, its not gonna happen much on that tour.

A RED, Fireflight, Flyleaf, Pillar, etc. tour would be much better though. Something like that would be epic!
