1. STAY ON TOPIC, The boards are a much better place that way, trust me, I know!!!2. Crude/profane language will not be tolerated. 3. Harassment of any kind (via pm, or wherever) will not be tolerated. 4. No spamming, of course that is usually an issue with boards that a have general music section, or by someone who isn't interested in the boards period. Just don't do it. 5. Try to be civil, if there is a conflict, please continue it via Private Message, not on a thread. 6. respect the mods. 7. Do a search for a topic before you start a new thread so we don't have several different threads about the same thing. 8. PLEASE DO NOT REVIVE OLD THREADS UNLESS THEY HAVE SOME NEW ADDED RELEVANCE! 9. This is a msg board, not txt msging, try to use real, whole wrds. plz do this b4 i get angry, it mkes it mch easier to read (do not do what i just did!) 10. Please use the "Report to Moderator" option on a bad post, it helps me a lot. it looks like a yellow triangle with an "!" in the middle, it is located below the poster's name. 11. DO NOT POST FILE SHARING LINKS!!!12. SPELL CHECK IS YOUR FRIEND AND IT COMES STANDARD IN MOST BROWSERS!!! If you have an issue/question with the boards themselves (the way they are ran ETC)? Please PM Timmy I will not respond well to posts attacking my motives or actions that i may not even read. And issues that people think that I know about, then allow them to escalate without reason. Just PM me  if there are any more guidelines you think should be added, let me know.

please do not use an excessive amount of letters in worrrrrrrrrrrrrrrdssssss for example. it crowds the post, uglys up the boards, and makes it difficult to read.
also try to take you time posting and use a spell check, forums are sometimes difficult to get a point across when you spell everything right, but once there are a few errors, it makes things difficult. so take you time please.

11. No obbsessive fangirling/fanguying(?). It's very disrespectful to the band members and no one else on these forums really wants to know that Ben or Jen is your future spouse, etc. If you do obsess, save it for real life and keep obbsession to a minimum here please.

This is for everyone,
over the last couple months, total monthly posts have gone from 1000, to nearly 7000. that is a 700% increase! sounds good right? not if there arent many more members, and the boards are cluttered with pointless posts.the back and forth needs to quit! i have been going through and deleting pointless posts, but i would rather see a change. so...
- if you have nothing to say, dont say "i have nothing to say" or something of that nature.
- if you have a beef, take it up over pm.
- if you want people to get back on topic, say something that is on topic, ignore the off topic!!! dont post "back to skillet" or " stay on topic guys"
- STAY ON-TOPIC!
the purpose of a forum is to share info, and when all this pointless stuff gets posted, it makes it very difficult for others to find the info they are looking for.
I will be cracking down; things need to change...
I love all of you, and i want this place to be the best possible for talking about this awesome band that we all love!

Just a suggestion... If someone really think they should warn people to get back on topic but can't think of something relevant that is on topic, PMs are a great way to tell that person/people to stop the off-topicness. Like Timmy said, no need to wast a post just saying to get back on topic, and equally unnecessary to post something random just to bring it back on topic. Yes, I do need to work on this myself.  |
